Monday Feb 1st - Studing the ironwork

As I wander thru the streets I am examining the ironwork. The leaf motifs and spirals all have historical significance. At the Acropolis museum, I was fascinated with the OWL, a symbol of Athens. There were many Owls living in the woods Acropolis site. Environmentalists are trying to get them to come back. The Owl of Athena is a sacred bird, you will find it represented everywhere. The Owl eye motif inspired me, using it as an abstract spiral.
